True beauty, many believe, is rooted in balance. “Everything in life,” according to internationally renowned fashion designer Donna Karan, “has to have balance.”
In the world of aesthetics, facial balancing is increasingly being recognized as essential to achieving a natural, appealing physical appearance. Facial balancing is a cosmetic procedure focused on enhancing facial symmetry and harmony through simple but strategic adjustments. creating noticeable yet subtle results.
It's a transformative approach to enhancing your natural features without the need for more invasive procedures or surgery. It is completely personalized to the individual and profoundly effective.
In life, as in nature, we are taught to seek balance in all things. Facial balancing is less a specific procedure than it is a concept. In actuality, we might employ a variety of procedures to bring balance to your face - while at the same time seeking to enhance and highlight your own natural features.
Facial balancing utilizes a strategic array of fillers, injectables and techniques, as our skilled advanced practice nurses artistically bring harmony, symmetry, and balance to your face.
In order to harmonize key facial structures – from the jawline to cheeks, chin and temples, and more - facial balancing treatments might involve the use of collagen and elastin-producing injections, hyaluronic acid-based fillers, Botox, PDO Threads, or any number of approaches to achieve a more balanced profile and proportions to your facial appearance.
The techniques we use for Facial Balancing also have the added benefits of smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, adding volume to the skin, and correcting imperfections, as well as the anti-aging effects.
The procedures selected are completely unique to each individual since the treatment plan is shaped by each patient's facial features and goals, but the intent is always to:
Studying your facial features, in context with the whole of your face, brings insight that truly can make everything better.
Why, we start at the beginning, of course. During your very first appointment, we perform what's called a Full-Face Assessment. In the Assessment, we study which of your features should be highlighted, while determining precisely where there is volume loss, asymmetry, or features that are not proportional to the others. We are guided by our ability to assess you through a 3-d lens, and advanced 3-d photography, along with photo skin analysis is all part of the initial assessment.
We make note of your perceived strengths and those features that can be improved upon. We will look at your current skin type, goals, routines, and other factors. From there, we develop a plan for balancing and harmonizing your facial features while preserving and perfecting your natural appearance.
Our process entails a collaborative effort in the initial stages to assure an end result you're pleased with.
Sometimes you hear these terms used interchangeably, but they are different. They are both cosmetic procedures that can improve facial symmetry and proportion, but they differ in their focus and approach.
Facial balancing employs a 360-degree approach that seeks to restore volume, refine contours, and bring symmetry to the entire face – from cheeks and jawline to lips and chin.
Profile balancing, on the other hand, is a more focused approach that addresses specific areas of the side profile, such as the nose, chin, lips, and jawline – but the focus is correcting asymmetry that is visible from the side only.
In our Full-Face Assessment, we employ both approaches, in context with one another, in developing your Facial Balancing Treatment Plan. Both approaches can use dermal fillers, which are a popular treatment option and make for a convenient alternative to surgery like chin augmentation.
When compared to other, more traditional approaches, the benefits of Facial Balancing cannot be overstated. It is a superior approach, in large part, because it:
It's a question that's often asked, but your face is your face at any age. If there are concerns of structural asymmetry, those are apparent in your 20s as well as your 70s. Aging does sometimes accentuate certain imperfections. Your nose, they say, never stops growing, so its imperfections will be more noticeable over time. But there is no specific age considered best for facial balancing. You can approach it early on to enhance or diminish certain facial features, or later, when you start noticing changes that you'd like to address, often related to aging. Individuals in their 20s and 30s might consider Facial Balancing to preemptively prevent signs of aging.
