Meredith Harris

Nurse Practitioner - Medical Esthetics Practitioner-Certified

Meredith is the owner of New Life Aesthetics. As a leading injection specialist, Meredith brings years of proven experience from her clinical practice along the Florida Treasure Coast. She and her family now call Raleigh home, and clients are drawn to Meredith from all over the East Coast. It is her warmth, honesty, integrity and eye for detail that set Meredith aside as unique in the Aesthetic Medicine industry.

Meredith is a miracle worker. She has restored a younger look to my skin without invasive techniques. It is worth the 2 hour drive!!!

Meredith pursued undergraduate studies in Physiology and Neuroscience at the University of California and later completed a second undergraduate degree in nursing at Loma Linda University where she was inducted into the International Honor Society of Nursing. In 1998, Meredith graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania as a Nurse Practitioner in Women’s Health.

After years of caring for women, Meredith found her career niche in the sub-specialty of aesthetic enhancements. As an accomplished seamstress and watercolorist at an early age, artistry is a natural gift that Meredith pairs with a gentle approach that has been touted as unique to this industry. Meredith finds joy in assisting her clients to reach their unique goals and addressing their concerns through customized care. Meredith matches her mastery of dermal fillers and neurotoxin with her philosophy that aesthetic medicine is a gift that enhances ones’ own natural beauty to provide a refreshed result for her clients.

Meredith is truly an artist in her profession.

Meredith is an affiliate member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and a member of The American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses, and has received certification as a Medical Esthetics Practitioner.  Meredith has pursued advanced training and certification in all service modalities that she offers. Meredith travels extensively to teach and train new and advanced injectors throughout the country, where her contagious passion is shared with professionals entering her field.  Always engaging in training and traveling to attend national aesthetic conventions and education, Meredith maintains the desire to stay on the cutting edge of her field.

Dr. Joseph Franklin

Plastic Surgeon-Medical Director


Dr. Joseph Franklin is a plastic surgeon with over 10 years plastic surgery experience. He moved to the Triangle in 2013 to be closer to friends and family members. Dr. Franklin is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery – indicating extensive training and the highest level of professional conduct. Dr. Franklin’s practice encompasses a broad range of plastic surgical procedures, with a focus on breast surgery for both cosmetic and reconstructive purposes.

Dr. Franklin completed his plastic surgery residency at the University of Tennessee and his general surgery training at East Carolina University. He has been the recipient of many honors and awards during his years of medical service, including the Minges Research Award for outstanding clinical research and the Outstanding Clinical Instructor Award from the Brody School of Medicine. For two consecutive years he was the recipient of the Service Excellence Award from Vidant Hospital and ECU. Last year, he was a finalist for the Best Plastic Surgeon in the Triangle from Indy Magazine.

He served as a clinical instructor at the Brody School of Medicine in the departments of Anatomy, Dermatology, and General Surgery. From 2007-2010 he functioned as the Medical Director for University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina Cleft Lip—Craniofacial Clinic in Greenville, NC. Dr. Franklin has been highly active in charitable work for both the arts and sciences and volunteers with many organizations benefiting breast cancer.

Most recently, he was named to the board of directors of the Pretty in Pink Foundation — a Raleigh based charity which helps women pay for their breast cancer treatment.
